For a Good Cause...
Speaking of late reactions, I thought I should talk about the acquaintance party that we had for Management Circle and whatever things that should enter in my mind.
The original plan was NOT to attend the party because we'd all get bored and stuff but being the inconsistent people that we are, and our fate to always go against words of honor, we decided, at the last minute, to join anyway.
So the theme for the party was EXPLODE! to which the seniors said meant "to come out of their shells." (Addressed to the First Years, of course.) (We've been out of shells since day one in U.P.)
The point of every acquaintance party is to let everyone get acquainted with each other, I guess. Mostly for the freshmen. To which, I replied beforehand, that it was all a bunch of lies. I knew that there was no way any one of us would go out of our blocks to try and talk to the freshmen.
So anyhoo, why we decided to go, I don't know. I did have fun, though. Guess that's because people at my table were already drunk-like. (Which is why we canceled the plan to go to Outpost and "drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.") (Our inhibitions were gone anyway so it kind of made the purpose of drinking futile.) (Lol.)
There may have been some moments wherein I got bored but needless to say, I learned a few things that night:

- It is important to always stay calm when the heel of your shoe gets broken:
Me:(in a very, very dead tone) "Oh my God, Soulmate, nabali akong tikod" (translates to: "My heel broke off")
Gelle:(in a very, very FRANTIC tone) "SOULMATE! SOULMATE! UNSAON MAN TA NA???!" (translates to: "WHAT DO WE DO???!")
Me:(still calm and composed) "Okay ra na, di lang ta pa-obvious" (translation: "It's okay, act like nothing happened" I could do this for a living. Lol)
Gelle: (paranoid tone) "ITAGO SA IMONG BULSA! DALI! DALI!" ("HIDE IT IN YOUR POCKET! HURRY! HURRY") - Reggae will never be "my" kind of music.
- Dancing will never be my thing.
- I will always win in screaming matches.

Anyhoo, as aforementioned, I watched The Dark Knight last Saturday with my equally disturbed friend by the name of Ives. One of the many things I learned that night was that broken Cinema chairs send shits and giggles to both of us.
After discussing how SMALL some people's brains are over dinner, I couldn't wait to get into the theater to watch Bats in action. (Took us a bit longer than usual because, apparently, I'm one of those Beatles-like vultures in the Jungle Book.) (We actually lined up in the wrong line when we bought the tickets.) ("Loading" moments are rampant when Ives, Jinny, Pagi, and Shynx are involved.)
Suffice to say, The Dark Knight was/is/forever will be amazing. So maybe I'm a bit, okay, A LOT biased because Batman's my favorite superhero-slash-dream guy but there are probably a million out there who think Batman's so-so but loved the movie. Christopher Nolan's my new hero, I guess. Still, I loved the Tim Burton versions.
Which brings me to the most important question (and the point of this entry): IS THE JOKER CRAZY?
I mean, sure, the make-up would be the obvious tip-off that he is but I actually think that he does, in a way, make sense. I loved it when he said, and I quote, "The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules," unquote.
So maybe his views on humor are a bit different than that of our standards but when you think about it, what he did in the movie, the comic books, the graphic novels, and even in the animated series do make sense. We're talking sensibility here, not the concepts of right and wrong.
Insanity, as defined by the Encarta Dictionary, means the "lack of reason or good sense" and reason would bring up words like "logic," "justification to an action," and the like.
Whatever the Joker did, he had reasons WHY he DID IT. Whatever he does would make people think that he is unreasonable but truth is, he has a whole different perspective of reason. (Afterthought: reason may not be universal.) (Does that mean reason does not exist?) (Anyone think I'm being too philosophic while dissecting a Batman movie? Lol)
You guys have to watch the film. It's semi-perfect or something like it.
